Island Gymnastics Academy Hosts 36th Annual Gymstrada

Gymnasts from the Island Gymnastics Academy will perform their annual gymnastics dance and tumbling extravaganza, Gymstrada, at UPEI on June 9 and 10.  The performances run at 6:00 pm on Friday and 11:00 am on Saturday and are open to the public.  Admission (cash only) is $5 adult, $2 students, and free for pre-schoolers .

A much-loved Academy tradition, the year end show features both recreational and competitive gymnasts from pre-school to adult.  The competitive girls will feature numbers choreographed by Halina Terentieva, who directs the dance program for the club.  “Each year our Gymstrada gets better and better. It is a very entertaining show. ” says Recreation Director, Shelley Ferguson.

FANTASTIC RESULTS AT CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!!

Alex placed 3rd All Around at Canadian Championships and is taking home the Bronze Medal to PEI!!!!!  He was first on vault and 3rd on PBars.  Matt placed 3rd on pommels.  Both have qualified for event finals on Sunday at 10:30!!!
