Successful Competition for Island Gymnastics Academy’s National Gymnasts

Island Gymnastics Academy gymnasts represented PEI very well at the Canadian Gymnastics Championships, May 23-28 in Ottawa, ON. Matt Gallant posted PEI’s best results in Open with a 8^th place finish all-around. Teammate Blaise Roberts made the podium on rings with 6^th place finish in the qualifier as well as event finals. A combined team of National Open gymnasts from both PEI and New Brunswick posted a 4^th place finish in the team competition.

“The History of Gymnastics on PEI”

Emma Christensen presented a project on the History of Gymnastics on PEI at the Provincial Heritage Fair held at the Confederation Center last week.  Emma made it to the Provincials after winning at her school.
