Island Gymnastics Academy

The Island Gymnastics Academy is looking forward to our 2023/2024 gymnastics season.

We are once again offering Special Programs under the leadership of Program Director Nancy Ripley.

Introducing our Team that will deliver the Special Programs:

Adult Gymnastics: We welcome Donovan Ching as Head Coach of this program. Donovan was a Competitive Gymnast with the Academy for over ten years. He brings a wealth of experience to the program.

Home School: Shane Codrington will be coaching with the Team delivering the Home School Program. Shane is the Program Director of the Boys Competitive Program at the Academy. He has been in a leadership role in the Men’s Program in Atlantic Canada for many years. Carson Younker will also be coaching in the Home School Program.

Parkour: This program continues under our new Head Coach Elijah Robertson. Elijah has trained at the Academy in our Home School and Competitive Boys Programs. He will be working with Academy National Stream gymnasts Alex Zakem and Jaycob Frank to deliver this very dynamic program.

Special Olympics: Carson Younker, Louise Dwyer and Lindsay Ching will be offering our Special Olympics Program that is partnered with PEI Special Olympics. Carson was a National Stream Gymnast and is currently employed by the Academy as a Program Director of Boys Recreation and Coach in the Boys Competitive Program. Louise is returning to work with the Team in delivering the Special Olympics Program. She was a Competitive Gymnast in Ottawa and has served on the Academy’s Board of Directors. Lindsay was a Competitive Gymnast at the Academy and has a wealth of experience in the Sport of Gymnastics.
